Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel Review

Seriously I love Pixi Beauty Products so much, especially their Skincare Range is phenomenal. The best part is that Pixi Beauty is coming up with so many new products with some incredible ingredients, one after the other that it has become the Skincare Community’s most loved brand. When I found out that they have added a whole new line of products to their iconic Glow Tonic range I was so excited to try the new products. I got a lovely package from them containing 5 products from the range and I started using the Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel the very same day. Safe to say I’m hooked, so here are my thoughts…

According to their website “This Hydrating Cleansing Gel removes impurities without stripping the skin of essential moisture. It doesn’t foam up but I don’t mind that in fact, many brands are coming up with foam-free facial cleansers to maintain the skin’s natural moisture. with Moisclean (a moisturizing cleansing agent, to remove impurities and help leave the skin hydrated), and a unique blend containing Glycolic Acid, Horse Chestnut Extract, Aloe and Ginseng, it helps refine and brighten complexion leaving skin energized and smooth.”

The cleanser contains Glycolic acid that makes the Glow Tonic range what it is, and also some other good stuff like Aloe Vera to soothe the skin and Ginseng to improve your blood circulation. It comes in a pale pink plastic tube with a green lid, the classic Pixi colors, and you simply squeeze it out onto your palm.

I have combination skin with an oily T-zone. My skin is a bit sensitive. I have textured skin with large pores. I’ve been using the Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel for about a month now. It’s safe to say I LOVE it. There’s a bit of a scent, something fresh and clean but not at all overwhelming; it doesn’t foam or lather (this is good, actually, because foaming cleansers can be very drying) but it makes my skin feel so clean. It almost has that squeaky-clean feeling after I use this, but without the tightness that often comes with washing your face. I’m left with a face that feels so soft and nestled perfectly in between dry and oil.

I use the Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel as a second cleanser or a morning cleanser. As the name suggests, it is a clear gel. It has a slightly runny consistency.  You can’t use it directly to remove your makeup, but it’s the perfect follow up after a thick cleansing balm. My skin definitely looks more glowy since I added this (and the other new Glow Tonic products) into my skincare routine, but we’ll see if there’s any long term impact…

This cleansing gel has glycolic acid which is an AHA and acts as a chemical exfoliator. So I would suggest you to use sunscreen after washing your face with this cleanser though the percentage is not mentioned anywhere.
